Track & Field Runs Competes at Baldwin-Wallace Invitational

BEREA, OH—Buffalo State’s indoor track and field teams posted several impressive individual efforts tonight at Baldwin-Wallace.

One the women’s side, Toya Edwards (Brooklyn/ Clara Barton) won the 55-meter dash (7.34). LaVonne Barfield (Rochester/Wilson Magnet) won the long jump (5.16m), and Dana Migliorino (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley) set a new school record in the pole vault for the second consecutive week, clearing (3.05m). Suzan Spence (Brooklyn/ Canarsie) won the 500-meter run (1:21.95), and Sharesa Baldwin (Brooklyn/ Clara Barton) won the triple jump (10.92m).

Ray Peoples (Buffalo/Cleveland) highlighted the men’s side winning the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.56 seconds. Keith Henry (Galveston, TX/Ball) won the 400-meter dash in 51.10 seconds. Ray Shadowens (Troup, TX/ Arp) won the 55-meter hurdles (7.84). Ali Abdul-Matin (Troy/ Troy) claimed the long jump (6.64m).

Buffalo State will compete at the SUNYAC Championships next weekend.
