Twenty-Eight Buffalo State Student-Athletes Earn SUNYAC Academic Honors

The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced its Commisioner's List and All-Academic Team for for Fall 2003, and 28 Buffalo State student-athletes have been recognized for their work in the classroom.

The qualify for the Commisioner's List, the student-athlete must be a varsity athlete, have competed for the entire season, and have maintained a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.3 for at least three semesters. Student-athletes that earned a 3.3 grade point average for the Fall semester qualified for the All-Academic Team.

The following Buffalo State student-athletes qualified for both the Commissioner's List and the All-Academic Team: Jen Breier - Volleyball; Denise Jedynak - Volleyball; Brian Miller - Soccer; and Krista Wierzbicki - Volleyball.

The following student-athletes were named to just the Commisioner's List: Michelle Del Zoppo - Volleyball; and Sarah Ingham - Volleyball.

The following student-athletes were named to the All-Academic Team: Kristin Bijak - Cross Country; Deirdre Blank - Cross Country; Mike Colucci - Football; Val Fernandez - Football; Kristin Gregoire - Cross Country; Aleksandra Halin - Cross Country; Justin Huebbers - Football; Colleen Ingerto - Soccer; Jessica Kessler - Soccer; Matt Ketchum - Soccer; Kellie Lobczowski - Volleyball; Vicky Manos - Volleyball; Ryan Marranca - Football; Mike Mercer - Football; Mike Mikolaichik - Football; Jamie Monaco - Soccer; Melissa Petre - Soccer; Matthew Romano - Soccer; Jenny Vacanti - Cross Country; Jason Veit - Football; HT Williams - Football.
