Beginning Monday, April 1, Buffalo State students will have the opportunity to vote for representatives in the United Students Government (USG).

All enrolled undergraduate students are invited to cast their ballots. A separate ballot is available for graduate students. A student ID or valid driver’s license is required.

Voting will be held in the Campbell Student Union’s lower-level lobby, next to the Barnes & Noble at Buffalo State Bookstore. Polls will be open Monday through Wednesday, April 1-3, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; and Thursday, April 4, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

This election includes all USG officer positions: president, executive vice president, treasurer, vice president for academic affairs, vice president for campus affairs and government relations, vice president for public relations, and vice president for student life. Positions for 40 USG senators are also open.

Candidates had the opportunity to record introductions to voters and describe their platforms—View USG student election candidate speeches on Buffalo State’s official YouTube channel.

In addition, student seats on other campus governing bodies—including the Auxiliary Services Advisory Committee, the College Council, the College Senate, the Faculty Student Association, the Grant Allocation Committee, the Intercollegiate Athletic Board, and Student Assembly—will also be elected.

Undergraduate students will also vote on referendums concerning the Buffalo State student activity fee and NYPIRG funding.
