Utica Blanks Women's Hockey, 2-0
Buffalo State (3-11-1/0-8) dropped a physical 2-0 loss to visiting Utica (12-6-1/5-4) today in an ECAC West game at the Ice Arena.
The teams skated to a scoreless tie in the opening period, despite Utica outshooting the Bengals 15-1. The Pioneers finally got on the scoreboard midway through the second period, and added an insurance goal in the third.
Rachel Bennett (Howell, MI) made 37 saves for Buffalo State. Utica finished with a 39-12 advantage in shots on goal.
Buffalo State will travel to Cortland for a pair of conference games next weekend.
