Vacanti Leads Cross Country at NCAA Atlantic Regional

Buffalo State's men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up their seasons today at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships today at St. Lawrence, as the men placed 23rd of 33 teams, while the women ran an incomplete team.

Sophomore Jenny Vacanti (Niagara Falls/Niagara Wheatfield) was the highlight of the women's race for the Bengals as she earned All-Region status and missed qualifying for the NCAA Championship meet by just two seconds. Vacanti placed 17th of 201 runners, running the 6K course in 23:14.

The top finisher on the men's side was Shane Reynolds (Richland/Pulaski), who placed 66th of 226 runners, covering the 8K course in 26:57.
