Volleyball Defeats Potsdam, Falls to Fredonia at RIT Invite
Buffalo State competed in the second and final day of the RIT Invitational today where it placed sixth in the tournament after defeating Potsdam 3-0 and losing to Fredonia 3-1.
Lindsay McKenrick (Alden/Alden) recorded four kills, four assists and seven digs off the bench in the opener, as the Bengals downed Potsdam 30-11, 30-15 and 10-20. In the second match, Fredonia won 30-27, 27-30, 30-27 and 30-25, despite Krista Wierzbicki's (Cheektowaga/Maryvale) 50 assists. Denise Jedynak (Hamburg/Frontier) registered 27 digs, and Vicky Manos (Cheektowaga/Cheektowaga) had 21 kills and six blocks.
Buffalo State is now 8-12 and will travel to Oswego next weekend for the first round of SUNYAC Pool Play.
