Volleyball Drops Two in Second Day of Cortland Classic
Buffalo State (0-4) lost a pair of matches at the Corland Red Dragon Classic today, falling 3-0 to Point Park and 3-1 to Baptist Bible.
In the morning match, Point Park topped the Bengals 30-25, 30-22 and 30-22. Kelli Dempsey (W. Seneca/Sweet Home) had six kills, three blocks and two aces. Keri Bumgardner (Babylon/W. Babylon) added six kills, five digs and eight blocks.
Baptist Bible won the second match, 27-30, 30-16, 30-12 and 30-14. Jen Breier (Grand Island/Grand Island) added 10 digs and four blocks. Bumgardner had 11 blocks and 11 digs and was named to the all-tournament team.
Buffalo State will play at Medaille on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
