Buffalo State dropped both of its matches today at the North Country Invitational in Potsdam, falling 3-2 to the host in the first match, before losing 3-0 to Russell Sage.

Potsdam topped the Bengals 30-21, 30-23, 28-30, 28-30 and 15-8. Lisa Fioretti (Derby/Lakeshore) led Buffalo State with 13 kills and three aces, and Sam Damstetter (W. Seneca/W. Seneca East) added 13 kills.

In the second match, Russell Sage downed Buffalo State 30-28, 30-15 and 30-18. Jen Breier (Grand Island/Grand Island) pounded out 14 kills, and Lauren Wright (Westfield/Westfield) had 34 assists.

Buffalo State fell to 1-8 and will host Penn State Behrend on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
