Volleyball player Keri Bumgardner (Babylon/W. Babylon) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week.

The junior elementary education major led the Bengals to their first victory of the season this weekend at the Plattsburgh Invitational. Bumgardner served up 13 aces in a 3-0 win over SUNY Maritime, and was named to the All-Tournament Team for her efforts. In the four matches, she had a team-high 32 kills, and seven blocks, and added 16 aces.

Buffalo State will host D'Youville and Hilbert this Tuesday and Thursday respectively.
