Senior volleyball player Monica Polka (Lewiston-Porter) was named Buffalo State's Athlete of the Week.

For the second straight season, Polka was named Most Valuable Player at the North Country Invitational as she guided the Bengals to the tournament championship. In four matches, her team lost just one game, defeating Hartwick, St. Lawrence, Potsdam and Clarkson. She compiled 72 kills, a .447 hitting percentage, 11 aces and 31 blocks.
