Buffalo State dropped all four of its matches this weekend at Round One of SUNYAC Pool Play at Oswego.

The Bengals opened the conference slate on Friday with a 3-1 loss to Brockport, 30-24, 14-30, 22-30 and 26-20. Krista Wierzbicki (Cheektowaga/Maryvale) recorded 26 assists, 13 digs and six kills. Vicky Manos (Cheektowaga/Cheektowaga) had 11 kills and 14 digs, and Jen Breier (Grand Island/Grand Island) tallied seven kills, five blocks and four aces in the loss.

In Friday's second match, Fredonia defeated the Bengals in three games, 26-30, 18-30 and 19-30. Manos had nine digs and four aces, and Keri Bumgardner (Babylon/West Babylon) recorded six kills and six blocks.

On Saturday, Buffalo State fell short against Geneseo, 3-1, with scores of 18-30, 31-29, 25-30 and 24-30. Denise Jedynak (Hamburg/Frontier) led the Bengals with 31 digs, and Wierzbicki dished out 24 assists.

The Bengals wrapped up the weekend with a disappointing 3-0 loss to Oswego, 26-30, 29-31 and 22-30. Manos registered 13 kills and 15 digs, and Jedynak had 30 digs.

Buffalo State is now 8-16 overall and 0-4 halfway through the SUNYAC schedule.
