Volleyball Wins a Pair at Pitt-Bradford
Buffalo State swept its tri-match today at Pitt-Bradford, defeating the host in three games, and pushing past Mt. Aloysius in four games.
In the opener against Mt. Aloysius, the Bengals prevailed 30-20, 31-29, 28-30 and 30-26. Jen Breier (Grand Island/Grand Island) led the offense with 18 kills and seven aces. Lauren Wright (Westfield/Westfield) dished out 45 assists, and Sam Damstetter (W. Seneca/W. Seneca West) added 14 kills and 20 digs.
In the late match, Buffalo State downed the host school, 30-25, 30-24 and 30-27. Breier and Keri Bumgardner (Babylon/W. Babylon) each had 12 kills, and Damstetter registered nine kills and 10 digs.
Buffalo State is now 4-20 on the season and will play at D'Youville on Tuesday night.
