WBNY Airs Call-In Health Program
Buffalo State Colleges student radio station, WBNY-FM 91.3, will air a half-hour health promotion talk show entitled Sex, Drugs, Alcohol and Everything in Between at 6 p.m. Monday nights during the 2003-2004 academic year.
Geared to college students, the innovative program, sponsored by the Weigel Health Center, will feature Gina de Peralta Thorn, health educator, and Tammy Kresge, coordinator for alcohol, other drugs and violence prevention at Buffalo State. Peer educators will also be on hand for the call-in program that provides a safe open forum for students to ask questions.
Topics that will be covered include health relationships, eating disorders, binge drinking, club drugs, sexuality, sexual assault, pregnancy, drunk driving and sexually transmitted diseases.
