Wierzbicki Earns Academic All-District Volleyball Honors
Buffalo State's Krista Wierzbicki (Cheektowaga/Maryvale) was named to the 2003-04 Academic All-District Women's Volleyball Second Team for her achievements on the court as well as in the classroom as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
In addition to earning a 3.90 cumulative grade point average, the senior public communicaton major served as one of the Bengals' team captains as well as the starting setter. Wierzbicki broke Buffalo State's single season record for assists this year with 1,247, and also established the school's career marks for assists and aces with 3,821 and 205 respectively.
Wierzbicki will complete her degree this May and pursue a career in public relations.
