WILLIAMSTOWN, Ma.—Williams (3-15-2) used a four-goal third period to complete the two-game sweep of visiting Buffalo State (5-10-3), winning 6-1, in a non-conference game today at Lansing Chapman Rink.

Williams opened the scoring midway through the first period, but the Bengals evened the score later in the frame with a power-play goal by Melissa Jeckovich (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls) with assists from Marissa McMullen (Haileybury, ON) and Kristen Bozek (Buffalo, NY/Hutch Tech). Williams dominated the rest of the way, scoring once in the second period and four times in the third.

Williams outshot Buffalo State, 50-29. Kristilynn Reed (Blasdell, NY/Frontier) made 44 saves in her collegiate debut for the Bengals.

Buffalo State will close out its regular season next Friday and Saturday with a pair of critical league games at Oswego. Buffalo State currently sits in the sixth and final playoff position, two points ahead of Oswego and five points up on Cortland, who each have four games remaining.
