Williams Completes Sweep Over Women’s Hockey
WILLIAMSTOWN, Ma.—Williams (3-15-2) used a four-goal third period to complete the two-game sweep of visiting Buffalo State (5-10-3), winning 6-1, in a non-conference game today at Lansing Chapman Rink.
Williams opened the scoring midway through the first period, but the Bengals evened the score later in the frame with a power-play goal by Melissa Jeckovich (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls) with assists from Marissa McMullen (Haileybury, ON) and Kristen Bozek (Buffalo, NY/Hutch Tech). Williams dominated the rest of the way, scoring once in the second period and four times in the third.
