Buffalo State men's hockey player Dave Wilmert (Ada, MI/Youngstown Phantoms) was named the SUNYAC Co-Rookie of the Week by the conference office today. Wilmert assisted on the game-winning goal against Cortland and added an insurance marker to put the Bengals up 4-2 with less than four minutes to play in regulation. Wilmert's goal at 16:57 was his first of the season. The win was an important one for Bengals, as it propelled them two points ahead of Brockport and within two points of Fredonia, heading into the final weekend of SUNYAC play.

Wilmert and the Bengals will be back on home-ice this weekend for a pair of SUNYAC games. Buffalo State will host Geneseo on Friday night and Brockport on Saturday night. A 7:00 p.m. start time is scheduled for both games.
