Women's Basketball Chosen Fourth in SUNYAC Preseason Poll
Buffalo State's women's basketball team has been chosen to finish fourth in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) according to the preseason coaches poll.
The Bengals return just three players, senior Monique Hanks (Liverpool/Liverpool), and sophomores Desi Gibson (Rochester/Edison Tech) and Jacey Brooks (Machias/Franklinville), from a team that went 18-9 a year ago. The Bengals advanced to the conference semifinals last season before falling to Brockport, the eventual SUNYAC Champion.
The complete SUNYAC poll is as follows: 1. Cortland (86); 2. Brockport (84); 3. Geneseo (80); 4. Buffalo State (73); 5. Plattsburgh (70); 6. Oneonta (66); 7. Oswego (52); 8. Fredonia (33); 9. New Paltz (28); 10. SUNYIT (20); 11. Potsdam (13).
