Women's Basketball Edges Medaille, 54-49

BUFFALo, NY--Darnika Moseley (Liverpool/Liverpool) had 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead Buffalo State (4-7) past host Medaille (8-1), 54-49, tonight at the Sullivan Center.

Buffalo State capitalized on 17 first-half Medaille turnovers to take a 32-22 lead into the intermission. Medaille rallied to within three on several occasions in the second half, but was unable to complete the comeback. Buffalo State converted 27 Maverick turnovers into 21 points in the game.

Moseley's double-double was the 13th of her career. Toya Parks (Brooklyn/MLK) scored a game-high 16 points, and Gina Apa (Buffalo/McKinley) added 10 for the Bengals.
Amanda Baker (Lyons/Newark) and Brenlyn Campbell (Lewiston/Lew-Port) each had double-doubles for the Mavericks. Baker scored 11 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, and Campbell had 11 points and 10 boards.

Buffalo State will host New Paltz in a SUNYAC contest on Friday.
