Women’s Basketball Falters at Fredonia
FREDONIA, NY—Hot-shooting Fredonia (7-12/2-9) defeated visiting Buffalo State (7-13/3-8), 66-59, in a SUNYAC contest tonight at the Steele Arena.
Toya Parks (Brooklyn/MLK) led the Bengals with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Shareese Hamer (Erie, PA/Strong Vincent) added 12 points.
Fredonia shot 57-percent, compared to just 30-percent shooting by the Bengals. The Blue Devils led 34-25 at the half. The Bengals rallied and led by two midway through the second period, but Fredonia used a 13-3 run to separate down the stretch.
Buffalo State will travel to play SUNYAC West-leading Brockport next Friday.
