Women's Basketball Player Dionne Turnage
Women's basketball player Dionne Turnage (Buffalo/Traditional) was named Buffalo State's Athlete of the Week.
The freshman forward averaged 16.5 points-per-game in a pair of losses to NYU and Manhattanville last weekend. At NYU on Saturday, Turnage scored a game-high 20 points, while grabbing six rebounds. On Sunday at Manhattanville, she led the team again with 13 points on 5-for-7 shooting from the field. The newcomer is currently second on the team in scoring and rebounding, averaging 11.9 and 7.4 respectively.
