Women's basketball player Monique Hanks (Liverpool/Liverpool) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week.

Hanks helped the Bengals to road SUNYAC victories over Brockport, Potsdam and Plattsburgh. The senior averaged 16.0 points, 9.7 rebounds and 3.7 steals-per-game during the three contests. She is now just 26 points shy of becoming the eighth player in school history to score 1,000 career points.
