Women's Hockey Blanked by Elmira, 5-0
Buffalo State fell, 5-0, to Elmira (5-2/3-0) earlier this afternoon at the Buffalo State Ice Arena.
The Soaring Eagles scored a pair of goals in the first period, one in the second period and two more to close the game in the third period. The Bengals were out shot 31-7 as freshman goaltender Shannon Anesetti (Cannonsburg, PA/ Caron-McMillan) was credited with 26 saves.
The Bengals fall to 2-5-1 overall and 0-3 in ECAC West play. Buffalo State returns to the ice tomorrow, Dec. 12 to face Elmira. Game time is set for 12 p.m.
