BUFFALO, NY—Buffalo State peppered the University of Rhode Island goal with 41 shots and Shannon Anesetti (Canonsburg, PA/ Canon-McMillan) stopped all 22 shots she faced as the Bengals claimed a 2-0 victory in an exhibition game tonight at the Ice Arena.

Junior Meghan Herald (Tonawanda/ Kenmore East) put the Bengals on the board late in the first period, and Amanda Johnston (Thunder Bay, ON/ Sir Winston Churchill) added a power-play marker in the third to give Buffalo State some insurance.

Buffalo State will host the Rams again tomorrow at 4 p.m.
