Women's Hockey Earns First Win of Season

Buffalo State defeated host Cortland 3-1 today to improve to 1-1 on the young season.

Amanda Uschold opened the scoring midway through the first period, but Cortland responded to tie the score six minutes later. After a scoreless second period, Tara Ostempowski (Lancaster) and Jennifer Downey notched a pair of third period goals to give Buffalo State the victory. Crissy Michalek (W. Seneca East) made 34 saves in her debut with the Bengals to earn the win between the pipes.
