Women's Hockey Earns Playoff Berth; Keddie Named Goalie of the Week
Buffalo clinched the final playoff spot in the ECAC West playoffs for the second consecutive season, as the team skated to a 1-1 tie in Cortland on Sunday. The Bengals earned the tie when Kim Costanzo (Cheektowaga/Maryvale)tied the score with just 1:08 remaining. Buffalo State will travel to Elmira and face the defending National Champion Soaring Eagles in the semi-finals on Saturday at 1 pm.
Also, for the second time this season, women's hockey goaltender Mary Keddie (Williamsville/Williamsville North) was named ECAC West Goaltender of the Week. Keddie made 55 saves in two weekend games at Cortland, including 30 saves in Sunday's playoff clinching tie. Keddie is currently second in the nation with 925 saves.
