Women's Hockey Falls To Utica, 4-1

Buffalo State fell to 1-5 overall today after a non-conference loss to Utica at the Buffalo State Ice Arena.

The Bengals struck first 32 seconds in the first period when Tami Clayton (Toms River, NJ/Toms River South Indians) scored her first goal as a Bengal unassisted. The Bengals would be unable to score again despite having 20 shots on goal in the game. The Pioneers scored one goal in each of the first two periods, and added two goals in the final frame to finish the scoring at 4-1. Senior Mary Keddie (Williamsville/Buffalo Bisons) made 33 saves in net for the Bengals.

The Bengals will host the Pioneers again tomorrow at the Buffalo State Ice Arena. Faceoff is scheduled for 12:00 pm.
