Women's Hockey Ties Michigan State, 3-3

Michigan State scored three goals in the third period to push the game into overtime earlier this afternoon at the Buffalo State Ice Arena. The Bengals (2-4-1/0-2) tied Michigan State (club) 3-3.

Leah Eyerman (Mountaintop, PA/Wyoming Seminary) put the first goal on the board for the Bengals halfway through the first period. Nicole Bennett (Fremont, CA/American) and Sarah Kelly (Portland, ME/Tilton School (NH)) each added a goal in the second period to make it a 3-0 game. Michigan State scored three unanswered goals in the third period to push the game into overtime. At the conclusion of the 5-minute period, the score remained 3-3.

Shannon Anesetti (Cannonsburg, PA/Caron-McMillan) made 21 saves between the pipes for the Bengals as Michigan State out shot Buffalo State, 24-20.

The Bengals return to the Buffalo State Ice Arena on Saturday, Dec. 4 to take on UMASS Amherst (club) at 4 p.m.
