Women's Lacrosse Blasts Franklin Pierce to Open Season
Buffalo State opened its season with a convincing 16-6 victory over Division II Franklin Pierce (NH) today in W. Palm Beach, Fla.
Leah Bernal (Marilla/Iroquois) led the Bengals offensive attack with four goals. Freshman Erin Silky (Liverpool/Liverpool) added three goals and two assists. Annie Tallchief (Perrysburg/Lakeshore), Rachael Galus (Hamburg/Frontier) and Tara Ammerman (Naples/Marcus Whitman) all added two goals for Buffalo State.
The Bengals will continue their southern training trip with an exhibition game against U. of Miami's club team on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m.
