Women's Lacrosse Dismantles Potsdam, 11-2

Buffalo State improved its record to 7-1 overall and 3-1 in the SUNYAC with an 11-2 victory at home today against Potsdam.

Junior Annie Tallchief (Perrsburg/Lakeshore) led all scorers with four points coming on three goals and one assist as the Bengals took a 6-0 lead into halftime. Freshman Leah Bernal (East Aurora/Iroquois) netted three goals and sophomore Chelsey Frail (Hilton/East Rochester) moved into sole position of fourth on the Bengals' all-time career scoring list with two goals and an assist. Leslie Perreault (Johnson City/Maine Endwell) continued her hot-streak with two goals and an assist. Meagan Powers (Pearl River/Pearl River) added a goal and two assists to her totals and Rachel Galus (Hamburg/Frontier) tallied an assist.

Buffalo State goaltender Katie Fels (Williamsville/Williamsville East) improved her record to 7-1 as well with six stops in the game. Buffalo State out-shot Potsdam 33-11 and committed 11 less turnovers than their opponents.



The Bengals will wrap up their home schedule tomorrow against Cazenovia at 1:00 p.m.
