Women's Lacrosse Drops SUNYAC Game at Potsdam
Buffalo State was defeated, 6-5, at Potsdam in SUNYAC action earlier this afternoon.
The game was tied 2-2 at the half before the two teams traded goals, with Buffalo State scoring with 3:02 remaining to even the score. Potsdam scored the eventual game-winner just 11 seconds later. The Bengals weren't able to find the back of the net again, as they were out shot 23-22.
Leah Bernal (Marilla/Iroquois) registered two goals while Chelsey Frail (Hilton/East Rochester), Tara Ammerman (Naples/Marcus Whitman), and Shantel Ackely (Baldwinsville/C.W. Baker) netted one each. Katie Rivers (Watertown/Watertown) had a solid performance in goal for the Bengals, recording 15 saves.
The Bengals fall to 7-3 overall, with a 1-3 mark in conference play. Buffalo State returns home for a game against Geneseo next Tuesday, April 26 at 4 p.m.
