Women's Soccer Defeats Albright; Wins LaRoche Tournament
Buffalo State defeated Albright (PA) 2-0 today to capture the championship in the LaRoche Tournament in Pittsburgh, Pa.
The Bengals got on the board with just three seconds remaining in the first half when Tina Semertzides (Wappinger Falls/Roy C. Ketchum) bent a 25-yard shot past the Albright goalkeeper. Freshman Missy Balling (Tonawanda/Tonawanda) added a goal late in the second half to seal the victory.
Buffalo State improved to 2-0-1 and will look to remain unbeaten when it hosts RIT on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
