Women's Soccer Drops Conference Opener to Oneonta
Buffalo State opened its SUNYAC schedule with a 3-0 loss to the defending NCAA Division III Champions from Oneonta (4-1-1, 1-0), today at Coyer Field.
All three Red Dragons goals came in the first half, highlighted by a pair of markers by Brooke Davis (Grand Gorge/Stamford). Kirsten Clapper (Dryden/Dryden) scored the other Oneonta goal. The Red Dragons outshot the Bengals 24-4 for the game. Laura Marcone (Mechanicville/Mechanicville) and Jeannine Marra (Thiells/N. Rockland) combined to make just one save for the shutout for Oneonta.
Buffalo State fell to 3-2-1 overall and 0-1 in SUNYAC play. The Bengals will host New Paltz tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Towers Field.
