Women's Soccer Falls in Double-Overtime at Fredonia
FREDONIA, NY--Fredonia (7-6-3/4-3-3) eliminated visiting Buffalo State (6-10/4-6) from SUNYAC playoff contention today with a 2-1 double-overtime victory.
Kelsie Moran (Albany/Albany) opened the scoring in hte 23rd minute with an assist from Katie Lyons (Williamsville/ Williamsville North). Fredonia evened the score just over three minutes later, however, and then netted the winner in the 104th minute.
The Blue Devils outshot the Bengals, 21-13. Meghan Jarrell (Hamburg/Hamburg) made six saves for Buffalo State.
The Bengals will wrap up the SUNYAC regular season against Geneseo on Saturday at 1 p.m. on Towers Field.
