Women's Soccer Falls to Fredonia in Overtime, 2-1
Jess Weinberger (Pittsford/Pittsford-Mendon) scored 2:09 into overtime to give visiting Fredonia (9-5-3/6-3-1) a 2-1 victory over Buffalo State (7-7-2/3-6-1) today at Coyer Field.
Linsay Kulas (Rochester/Aquinas) scored first for Fredonia in the 34th minute. Liz Jacobsen (Gresham, OR/Sam Barlow) evened the score for the Bengals in the 63rd minute.
Fredonia outshot Buffalo State, 19-5 for the game. Buffalo State goalkeeper Katie Melsert (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills-Ballston Spa) made eight saves.
Buffalo State will wrap up its season on Monday at home against Alfred.
