Women's Soccer Falls to Geneseo, 4-2
Buffalo State lost to visiting Geneseo today, 4-2, on Coyer Field, as the Blue Knights (5-10/3-5) held a 22-14 advantage in shots.
Geneseo sprinted out to a 3-0 lead in the opening half on a pair of goals by Emily Petraglia (Delmar/Bethlehem) and one by Maureen Hilliker (Williamsville/Williamsville South), before Gina Monaco (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) scored to get the Bengals on the scoreboard. Emily McKinnon (Kenmore/Kenmore West) pulled the Bengals to within 3-2 early in the second half, but Hilliker added her second goal of the game to ice the victory. Jackie Fertitta (Roslyn/Herricks) added four assists for Geneseo.
Buffalo State fell to 6-8-1 overall and 3-5 in SUNYAC play. The Bengals will host Brockport tomorrow for their final home game of the season.
