Women's soccer player Jessica Bingerman (Great Valley/Ellicottville) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week.

The junior-transfer goalkeeper helped the Bengals to a 2-0-1 week as she allowed just one goal in three games. After making nine saves in a 1-1 tie against Daemen on Tuesday, she posted her first career shutout with a five-save performance against SUNYIT on Saturday. She recorded her second shutout in as many days on Sunday at Cazenovia, as she made 11 stops in a 7-0 victory. Bingerman has made 70 saves in nine games and has guided Buffalo State to a 4-4-1 start.
