Women's soccer player Missy Balling (Tonawanda/Tonawanda) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week.
The freshman forward exploded for three goals in her collegiate debut in a 6-0 win over Medaille. She also added another goal in Sunday's 2-0 win over Albright, helping the Bengals clinch the championship in the LaRoche Tournament.
