Women's track and field athlete Celestine Coney (Lyons) was named Buffalo State's Athlete of the Week.

The freshman phenom continued her dominating indoor season as she captured the championship Eastern College Athletic Association (ECAC) Pentathlon at Tufts University. Coney earned 3,195 points, 193 more than her closest competitor. She will lead the team into the outdoor season when it opens on April 5 at the Duke University Invitational.
