Women's Volleyball Drops Two Matches to Close Season
HAMBURG, NY--Buffalo State (7-30) ended its season today with a pair of losses in a tri-match at Hilbert, falling 3-1 to LaRoche and 3-0 to the host school.
LaRoche defeated the Bengals 30-23, 30-16, 23-30 and 30-22 in the opener. Katelyn Grew (Lackawanna/Mt. Mercy) led the Bengals with 11 kills. Allison Suttell (Batavia/Batavia) added 21 assists, and Maria Schaffstall (Elma/Iroquois) had 20 digs.
In the second match, Hilbert swept the Bengals, 30-17, 30-23 and 30-21. Ashley Ray (Grand Island/Grand Island) had a team-high seven kills and five blocks. Schaffstall added 15 digs.
