Women's Volleyball Drops Two to Open League Play
GENESEO, NY--Buffalo State (1-15/0-2) lost matches to Oswego and host Geneseo to open the first round of SUNYAC Pool Play this evening.
Oswego defeated the Bengals in the opening match, 30-11, 30-11, 26-30 and 30-20 in the opener. Maria Schaffstall (Elma/Iroquois) had 20 digs, and Lauren Palisano (Buffalo/Holy Angels) added nine kills.
In the second match, host Geneseo topped Buffalo State, 30-19, 30-13 and 30-15. Allison Suttell (Batavia/Batavia) had 12 assists for the Bengals.
Buffalo State will complete the first half of pool play tomorrow with matches against Fredonia, Morrisville and Brockport.
