Women's Volleyball Drops Two to Open North Country Invitational

POTSDAM, NY--Buffalo State (0-7) was unable to pick up its first win of the season tonight, dropping a pair of three-game matches to open the North Country Invitational, falling to host Potsdam and Oswego.

Potsdam bettered the Bengals, 30-16, 30-16 and 30-11, in the first match. Katelyn Grew (Lackawanna/Mt. Mercy) led the Bengals with 10 kills, and Jessica Guadagno (N. Collins/N. Collins) added five kills and three digs.

Oswego swept Buffalo State in the nightcap by scores of 30-20, 30-18 and 30-25. Tamika Neal (Fayetteville, NC/Hutch Tech) had seven kills for the Bengals, and Maria Schaffstall (Elma/Iroquois) had 15 assists and seven digs.

Buffalo State will conclude the invitational tomorrow.
