Women's Volleyball Swept at Cortland Classic

CORTLAND, NY—Buffalo State (0-4) dropped a pair of straight-game matches for the second-consecutive day at the Cortland Red Dragon Classic today, falling to Skidmore and Swarthmore.

In the opening match, Skidmore toppled the Bengals, 30-21, 30-18 and 30-20. Jenn McGowan (Batavia/Batavia) led the Bengals offense with eight kills and added 10 digs. Maria Schaffstall (Elma/Iroquois) added 13 digs.

Swarthmore defeated the Bengals 30-19, 30-17 and 30-18 in the late match. Katelyn Grew (Lackawanna/Mt. Mercy) paced Buffalo State with 10 kills and three blocks. Allison Suttell (Batavia/Batavia) added 16 assists and five kills.

Buffalo State will play at Medaille on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
